Spiral Chapel

Material, Light, and Spatial Assembly

The Spiral Chapel investigates how layered wooden elements can define enclosure, light, and spatial procession within a compact architectural form. Composed of stacked and rotated timber frames, the structure creates a gradual transition from openness to intimacy, emphasizing movement, shadow, and material thickness. Developed through iterative digital modeling and physical fabrication, the project explores craft-driven assembly and the experiential qualities of repetition, weight, and rhythm.
